Safe Haven FOUNDATION //

Kickstart, a program of McMan Child, Youth and Family Services is a community-based educational leadership development and crime prevention program for high-risk children between 7 to 12 years of age in the Calgary area. This program is delivered in a variety of ways:

Individualized support for children and families
An interactive leadership workshop for the children
Development and strengthening of both the child's and family’s positive natural support networks
Positive leisure and recreational activities for the children

It is not too late to keep these high-risk children and families together while decreasing the risk of the children becoming involved with the juvenile justice system.

Change is possible and with the Kickstart program, we have seen these children overcome the risks they face and make positive life decisions.
