To date, a variety of informal social inclusion activities keep our Haven’s Way™ alumni engaged. Such engagements include participating in celebrations, Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter dinners, volunteering or attending Haven’s Way™/Safe Haven Foundation events and speaking engagements.  Alumni maintain relationships with one another, the staff, and the Founders all relate on a personal and often family level.  These bonds are described as natural and organic, rather than mandated by the program or expectations of the job.

A formal Haven’s Way™ Alumni Program is being developed, to ensure the alumni continue to have a sense of belonging, community and a family forevermore. History and research speak to the need and that this component of the Haven’s Way™ programming plays a very strong role in the success of the alumni we serve.
